so at the start of this year i started a media journal! and, uh, didn't keep up with it properly. i'm going to put down what i had going here (and my updated thoughts) so i can repurpose the journal for another go next year, and maybe use this blog? who knows. i put a lot of cute stickers on that thing though so it's going to get some use.

• i started the year playing balatro, and wow, i loved that game. i only need to finish off the jokerless challenge now. link.
  
• watched the first few episodes of the apothecary diaries in january, and loved every moment of it. i think my favourite character is jinshi. by the way, i've finished all of the episodes that are out by now, and i still love it. link.
  
• started DOGSRED which. i need to catch up on, but i loved it. good manga. link.
  
• played stacklands, i'm bad at it but it's my vibe. link.
  
• take me to the beach by imagine dragons and ado came for my life. it's my unofficial death stranding 2 song. link.
  
• severance holy shit !!! i LOVED this. i still need to watch the season finale though. irving is my favourite. link.
  
• watched akira which i had watched in parts as a kid. did you know i love red. link.
  
• succession was pretty good, i only watched one season though. link
  
• i watched all of yellowjackets. i love problems girls so much. make sure to look up content warnings. link.
  
• i went on a flanagan bender and binged the haunting of hill house, the haunting of bly manor, and midnight mass. i love rahul kohli. all of them were fantastic. midnight mass was my favourite. link.
  
• hello kitty island adventure was something i played hard for three days and forgot about. still, it was fun. link.
  
• watched the gorge and i liked it until the ending, which felt very weak. link.
  
• i started webfishing and while i haven't played in a bit, i love this game. social chill games with friends are... good... by the way why are there bullet casings on the beach? link.
  
• watched troll hunter and i loved that. check it out if you're into big monsters and found footage films. link.
  
• also watched the host (2006) aka not the adaptation of the meyers book. i really loved this movie, and cried real hard at the end. it's another monster movie--yeah yeah. link.
